Rick served nine years in the United States Navy, where he learned discipline, attention to detail, and how to solve problems under pressure. A native Texan through and through, he's called the Hill Country home for years.

Before his military service, Rick played soccer at Duke University and went on to play professional soccer in England. Those years taught him the value of teamwork and showing up ready to compete every single day. That mindset carried straight into his Navy career and shaped how he runs Drake Pools today. Nothing gets overlooked. Nothing gets rushed.

After his time in the service, Rick brought that same drive to pool care. Once you've spent nine years in the Navy on the water, it only makes sense you'd find your way back to it. He founded Drake Pools to give Texas Hill Country families a company they can actually trust, one built on honest work and straight answers.

Whether he's balancing chemicals, replacing a worn pump, or walking a customer through needed maintenance, Rick treats every pool like it's his own.

He's a father, and he runs his business the same way he raises his son: with patience, consistency, and a whole lot of care. Kyle, Buda, New Braunfels, Wimberley, Schertz, and San Antonio are not just service areas to him. They're home.
